Atop the West Maui Mountains, the Waihe’e Ridge Hike (photo above), boasts an impressive view of the entire isle of Maui and an up close view of several beautiful valley’s including the famous Iao Valley. Though the initial climb can be a challenge, the scenery throughout this hike and the view from the lookout at the top are well worth it.

Crater Hike

Not for the faint of heart, but the adventure of a lifetime, hiking into the Haleakala Crater is a must for avid hikers. The 13 mile trek from the summit features a wide variety of terrain and scenery through a remote spot known as one of the quietest places on earth. Although this hike requires a drop off and pick up, sunrise and sunset make this trip worthwhile even without a hike.
