The Island of Maui has a lot to offer in terms of food, activities, and sights to see, but some experiences are only available to those who plan ahead. Here are a few popular places
Star Noodle is by far the most popular place to find gourmet Ramen on Maui (as well as local favorites like Adobe Ribs or Pork Belly).
Make sure to get a reservation at least four weeks in advance (more if you have a certain day in mind). Star noodle is located on the west side of Maui in Lahaina and also has a front-row seat to the ocean.
This is the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful Maui sunset enjoying the tastes of Hawaii. It is also a family-friendly restaurant and is all outdoor seating.
There are plenty of lovely spots to watch the sunrise, but watching from Halaekala’s summit is pretty hard to beat. Due to limited spots, visitors are encouraged to book reservations in advance, as early as 60 days ahead of time.
It is an early wake-up call, but I promise it is worth it, especially if you are going to be jet-lagged anyway.
But be prepared for the cold! Even though Hawaii overall is a warm climate, Haleakala can run down to the 30's and sometimes even get snow in the winter, so be prepared!
This is the way to see Hana. Not only is staying in the Waianapanapa cabins beautiful, and the campgrounds have plenty of things to see and explore, but you’re also in the middle of Hana, making your trip to all the stops that much easier!
Book one or two nights in the cabin and see all of Hana without having to rush through your day. Instead, you can spread it out over 2 or 3 days, making it much more enjoyable and less stressful.
